This 62 week course covers all three units of the Cambridge National Creative iMedia Animation course:

Unit 2: R096
Animation – Coursework (NEA). This unit is worth a total of 75 marks. It builds on the previous unit to design and create digital animation with sound and makes up 35% of your total mark.
Unit 3: R093
iMedia in The Media Industry – Written Exam (1 hour 40 minutes). This unit is worth a total of 75 marks. This final exam unit builds on the previous two units to look at the media industry as a whole and makes up 40% of your total mark.
Learners will attend weekly live lessons in year 1, where they will complete unit R094 and cover the majority of the topic learning for unit R096 as a set of recorded and practical lessons. In year 2, learners will attend three full day online workshops where coursework (NEA) will be completed under supervision. After this, a further 21 weekly live lessons will help you study for the final summer exam in June of year 2.
What Can I Do Next?
As the OCR Nationals are formally recognised as GCSE equivalent qualifications by the JCQ, most colleges will accept these as part of your college application.
Students may go on to A Level Media Studies, Apprenticeships in Digital Media, Cambridge Technicals in IT or Digital Media, or UAL Level 3 Games Design.
Study Hours
You should expect to spend approximately 3 – 4 hours each week on this course over the 62 weeks.
Marking & Feedback
You will have two large coursework (NEA) assignments as part of this course which must be supervised by your tutor – these cannot be completed independently. Alongside this, weekly assignments are set to help you prepare for each unit which will be marked and returned to you with feedback from your tutor.
