Description

This short course can be studied as a stand alone unit, or as part of a formally recognised Flexible Advanced ICDL qualification as an optional unit.

Course materials are provided free of charge, but assessment & unit registration with BCS are an additional charge. Please select your chosen route of study above for costs.

All course materials are accessed online and studied at your own pace with access to help from specialist ICT / Computing tutors through our online portal. Please note – units may be studied separately from a qualification, but for credits to count towards a qualification registration must be completed.

Further units must be purchased separately.

Does This Course Include Live Tuition?

The course materials for this course are all online and self-paced. We do offer options for live group courses, and individual tuition. 

 

How Do I Access The Course?

Once you have enrolled and logged into the site, you will have access to your course via the “My Courses” button. Further details for new students are published on our Welcome Pack.

 

Do I need any additional resources / textbooks?

All course materials will be provided to you as part of this course. However, it is expected that you will have access to the software that the course covers: It is assumed that you will have access to the following applications:

  • Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
  • Windows 10 or 11
  • Latest version of Chrome or Firefox

Does The Course Include Practical Skills?

Yes. All courses include practical work throughout the course and you will be guided through interactive activities as you complete each of the Official BCS units.

 

Do I Have To Sit Particular Units?

As this unit is part of a flexible award, you must ensure that you are registered for a flexible award. When you have achieved the required points and completed any mandatory units, the qualification will be awarded to you. Please ensure that you have registered for your qualification before sitting any unit assessments.

When Can I Enrol?

As the ICDL courses are self-paced, students may enrol and start their course at any time. After enrolment, you will be given 12 months to complete the course. However, if you need extra time, options are available to extend your course by 3, 6, or 12 months.

 

How Do I Sit Assessments?

Exams & practice tests must be booked separately to your course. You may book at sit exams at a time and date that suit you and we offer tests at our Tuition Centre in West Sussex or across the UK by remote invigilation. Please contact us at hello@teachallaboutit.uk to arrange your assessment.
