Our GCSE Computer Science masterclass course focuses on the key topics within the course that enable students to reach higher grades. Through a set of 34 fully resourced lessons, students are guided through this study course by our “little and often” study plan fo year 11.

Group lessons take place via Google Meet with a maximum group size of 10 to allow all students to participate fully. Where enrolment numbers meet our upper limit, you may be offered self-study access the course.
Where students prefer to learn at their own pace, a reduced price option is available to access the recorded lessons and tutor feedback only (no live lessons). Please select your options for distance learning below to join with with or without access to our weekly live group lessons.
Once registered, lessons are released each week according to our topic schedule (shown below) and remain available for 1 year from date of registration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does This Course Include Live Tuition?
Our masterclass courses centre around our revision philosophy of “independent & supported” and has been designed to combine detailed online resources with live tutored lessons. Each live lesson contains a maximum of 10 students and is led by a fully qualified Computer Science Teacher who has extensive experience of teaching & tutoring GCSE OCR, AQA, and CIE specifications.
How Do I Access The Live Class?
Once you have enrolled for the option which includes live classes, you will be provided a link to our live classes directly through the online course. To attend a live tutored class, you must select this option on enrolment.
Do I need any additional resources / textbooks?
Whilst the course has been designed to include all of the information required to study our units, you will require access to certain software to allow you to prepare for the practical aspects of the exam.
It is assumed that you will have access to Office application (Microsoft or Open Office). Other topics require a free website account to access them (Repl & Scratch).
Before enroling, please ensure that your computer supports video calls via Zoom. We strongly recommend that students attend using a laptop or desktop and not a mobile device.
Does The Course Include Practical Skills?
Yes. We ensure that all of our courses from KS3 to A Level include practical aspects in both the independent lessons and live classes. You can expect your child to be guided through practical programming skills through a series of independent tasks and practical programming challenges with tutor feedback.
How Will I Be Charged?
As our courses are run between September and early June, parents have the option to select payment options of weekly, monthly, or half termly for £15 per weekly live lesson.
