Frequently Asked Questions

Does This Course Include Live Tuition?

Our masterclass courses centre around our revision philosophy of “independent & supported” and has been designed to combine detailed online resources with live tutored lessons. Each live lesson contains a maximum of 10 students and is led by a fully qualified Computer Science Teacher who has extensive experience of teaching & tutoring A Level OCR, AQA, and CIE specifications.

How Do I Access The Live Class?

Once you have enrolled for the option which includes live classes, you will be provided a link to our live classes directly through the online course. To attend a live tutored class, you must select this option on enrolment.

Do I need any additional resources / textbooks?

Whilst the course has been designed to include all of the information required to study our units, you will require access to certain software to allow you to prepare for the practical aspects of the exam.

It is assumed that you will have access to Office application (Microsoft or Open Office). Other topics require a free website account to access them (Repl & Scratch).

Before enroling, please ensure that your computer supports video calls via Zoom. We strongly recommend that students attend using a laptop or desktop and not a mobile device or chromebook.

Does The Course Include Practical Skills?

Yes. We ensure that all of our courses from KS3 to A Level include practical aspects in both the independent lessons and live classes. You can expect to be guided through practical programming skills through a series of independent tasks and practical programming challenges with tutor feedback.

How Will I Be Charged?

As our courses are run between September and early June, you have the option to select payment for the year at a reduced rate of £20 per live lesson for the full course or a deposit followed by flexible instalments between September 2022 – June 2023.

Each year, we offer a small number of privately funded scholarships to students who have reserved a place on our courses. To apply for a 2022/23 scholarship place, please apply here once registered.
