Description

This qualification is open to learners of all ages looking for an internationally recognised ICT qualification. All course materials are pre-recorded and studied at your own pace with access to help from specialist ICT / Computing tutors through our online portal. By selecting this award, any further units bought individually within the next 12 months will count towards your Level 1 Award in IT User Skills without any further registration fees. Please note – units may be studied separately from a qualification, but for credits to count towards a qualification registration must be completed. Fees cover:

  • Registration with BCS for Level 1 Flexible Award
  • Online tutor support
  • 1st Unit (IT User Fundamentals)

Further units must be purchased separately.


 

As these courses uses a licence to the Official BCS study material, please allow up to 2 – 5 working days for course access. Once you have accessed your course, we are unable to provide a refund for this unit.

Does This Course Include Live Tuition?

The course materials for this course are all online and self-paced. We do offer options for live group courses, and individual tuition. Please get in touch with us at hello@teachallaboutit.uk if you are interested in booking live online tuition.

 

How Do I Access The Course?

Once you have enrolled, you will be registered with the British Computer Society as an official TeachAllAboutIt Student. Please be aware that this registration may take 2 – 5 working days to process. Once your registration is completed, access to your course will be available through your student login on this website.

 

Do I need any additional resources / textbooks?

All course materials will be provided to you as part of this course. However, it is expected that you will have access to the software that the course covers: It is assumed that you will have access to the following applications:

  • Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
  • Windows 10 or 11
  • Latest version of Chrome or Firefox

Does The Course Include Practical Skills?

Yes. All courses include practical work throughout the course and you will be guided through interactive activities as you complete each of the Official BCS units.

 

Do I Have To Sit Particular Units?

As this is a flexible award, you may study any of our level 1 units until 9 – 12 credits have been awarded. At this point the qualification will be awarded to you. By registering with us, you will be initially enrolled onto the User Fundamentals unit – if you would like to enrol onto a different starting unit, please get in touch.  

When Can I Enrol?

As the ICDL courses are self-paced, students may enrol and start their course at any time. After enrolment, you will be given 12 months to complete the course. However, if you need extra time, options are available to extend your course by 3, 6, or 12 months.

 

How Do I Sit Assessments?

Exams & practice tests must be booked separately to your course. You may book at sit exams at a time and date that suit you and we offer tests at our Tuition Centre in West Sussex or across the UK by remote invigilation. Please book your test/exams here.
